Plot:

Simbu, an accountant by profession, gets to work in a music college. He meets Jyothika here. The latter however runs away from him as he is the one who rapes her in a dream (nightmare?).Now, we are shown a Simbu who chases girls with the intensity and interest of a Lothario. He seduces girls and finally burns them. Thus several nubile young girls vanish from the city.Policeman Atul Kulkarni, who is in charge of the investigation, manages to nail Simbu.It is when the truth comes tumbling out: Actually, there are two Simbus out there. One is soft and honest, working in music college. The other is the Don Juan, killing women like a Jack the Ripper. But Jyothika who mistakes the first for the second hands the former to the police.In the flashback, we are told that the two Simbus are twins and the killer is taking it out on young girls because he himself is a victim of young girl's (Sindhu Tolani) duplicity. After being loved and thrown away by Sindhu, the other Simbu develops a hatred for women. So he goes on a seduction and killing spree.The rest of the story is about how law catches up with him. But there is also some unexpected twist in the tale and that adds to the story value.

Story:

As the name of the movie suggests the whole hulla-baloo starts with the marriage that is fixed up between Madhavan and Jyotika by their parents. Madhavan not so willing to give up his bachelor life is more than happy to find out that Jothika is also not interested in the marriage. I play the role of a girl called Ganga in the film. She wants to pursue her dream of joining the engineering college. So they try to put their heads together to jeopardize the marriage and what follows is a series of hilarious events. Finally when the two accept each other and are ready to go ahead with the marriage and a slight spark is being lighted, the marriage is called of by the elders for some strange reasons. So all said and done, Madhavan comes back to the city to continue with his life and Jothika also comes to the city to pursue her studies. Though the two families have technically broken all bonds, Madhavan keeps helping out Jothika and both keep each other constant company and enjoy it also. While the families settle their issues and differences and agree to get back together, now there is a slight misunderstanding between the young couple, due to circumstances. So do they finally get back together or not?

The story begins in a village where Arumugham (Vikram) and his childhood friend (Jyothika) live. The river in the village is polluted by wastes from a chemical factory nearby. When the villagers' efforts to thwart the pollution is in vain, Arumugham, the goodie goodie lad is chosen to respresent their woes to the minister of their constituency in Chennai. Arumugham goes to Chennai with Easwari and her grandmother and stays with his friend (Vivek) and his gang. Swapna (Reema Sen), a model living in the same area falls for Arumugham.

Arumugham give petitions to the minister (Sayaji Shinde) who seems nice with loads of promises to save the river. Once Arumugham happened to fight a group of anti-socials headed by a lady. Arumugam reaslises late that the people he fought against are the henchmen of the minister, who also is behind all crimes. How Arumugham along with a sincere police officer (Manoj.K.Jayan) exposes the minister forms the rest of the story.

STORY: The movie was totally awesome ... technically .. Its a very different approach followed by the director .. We could definitely say with pride that Gautam has taken Indian cinema to new heights ... ! The story narration was beautiful though it did not have a very strong plot ... Thanks to Hollywood ... Tamil Cinema is reaching new dimensions ... Especially the opening 15 minutes and the scene where the killer talks with Kamal in midst of vendetta .. Just too good ! Kudos to the director .. the real hero ! Though he is not commendable in the plot, as in Kaakha Kaakha, he wanted to prove a point here ... and he does it in style ... Cheers Last but not the least ... The pride of Indian cinema .. Dr Kamal Haasan .... Does a powerful role with so much of ease ... Yet another movie of his to be remembered ..

Now coming to the negatives: Though the director succeeds in a certain way .. he lets you down at certain scenes which are so Indian ... Especially.. When the hero does things out of nowhere and categorizes them as "Raghavan Instincts" .. the scene where the killers escape from the airport .. and the usual coincidence where the killers meets the hero and his girl within minutes he reaches a new city ..

Our heroes which includes Kamal .. For their lack of body maintenance .. (Got to reduce the protruding tummy) Though these are negatives, they just go vanishing because of the style in which things are told ! In a nut shell .. Its a delight to watch this film !
