Madhavan and Reema Sen the lovely pair of that candyfloss love story Minnale is back. The film titled Rendu will be directed by Sundar C and produced by Kushboo under their home production ‘Avni Cinemax’.

Rendu will be a laugh riot and Avni Cinemax will be producing the film on a first copy basis for leading producer Oscar Ravichandran who has slotted its release for Diwali.

The film has Maddy, Reema Sen, Vadivelu and Bhagyaraj in the lead roles and music is by D.Imman. There is a lot of situational comedy which is sure to bring the house down.

It is a casting coup as the audiences have not forgotten Rajesh and Reena Joseph played brilliantly by Maddy and Reema in Minnale a movie which was shown many many times on television.

Says Sundar C: “It will be a pucca entertainer with lot of situational comedy and good songs”. Sundar himself a star after the stupendous success of Thalainagaram will be behind the camera this time.

Story:

Aayirathil Oruvan is a 2010 fantasy adventure Tamil–language film directed by Selvaraghavan, who with the project, directs his fifth feature film. The film stars Karthi Sivakumar, Reemma Sen and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead roles with Parthiban playing a pivotal role. The film, produced by R. Ravindran at a budget of 32 crore rupees, features music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Ramji and editing by Kola Bhaskar.[1]The film begins with an episode in 1279 AD, when the successor of the last great Chola Emperor, pending invasion, sends his people, to survive the threat. The story resumes with an archaeologist, a coolie and a member of the army going in search of the archaeologist's father to the ruined city that was the place the exiled Chola Prince retreated to. An expedition is promptly arranged, and on the course they stumble on the lost Chola civilization and its king and find unexplained links between them and the culture. The shocking events and the problems that arise forms the crux of the story.The film languished in development hell due to slow progress of the shoot and the extensive pre and post-production works, evading release dates ranging one year.[2] Shooting began in July 2007, and took place in various locations: Chalakudy, Kerala; Jaisalmer, Rajasthan; and other regions throughout India with a record number of extras.[3] Prior to release, the film was given an adult rating by the Central Board of Film Certification and worldwide theatrical and television rights for the film were sold for a record Rs.35 crores.[4][5] The film released coinciding with the festival of Thai Pongal on 14 January 2010, with a Telugu dubbing version following suit weeks later. Upon release, the film remarkably received contrastingly mixed reviews whilst proceeding to become a successful venture commercially.

The story begins in a village where Arumugham (Vikram) and his childhood friend (Jyothika) live. The river in the village is polluted by wastes from a chemical factory nearby. When the villagers' efforts to thwart the pollution is in vain, Arumugham, the goodie goodie lad is chosen to respresent their woes to the minister of their constituency in Chennai. Arumugham goes to Chennai with Easwari and her grandmother and stays with his friend (Vivek) and his gang. Swapna (Reema Sen), a model living in the same area falls for Arumugham.

Arumugham give petitions to the minister (Sayaji Shinde) who seems nice with loads of promises to save the river. Once Arumugham happened to fight a group of anti-socials headed by a lady. Arumugam reaslises late that the people he fought against are the henchmen of the minister, who also is behind all crimes. How Arumugham along with a sincere police officer (Manoj.K.Jayan) exposes the minister forms the rest of the story.
