Story

Raghuram (Prakash Raj) owns a tea estate in Coimbatore. He married Anu (Aishwarya) – love of his life. Their daughter is Abhi. It is a lovable family with absolutely no problems. Raghuram is excessively fond of his cute daughter. He tries to guide her in every small step she takes by being with her. She finds her father to be overbearing as she grows up and she expects her father to let her go in order to find her ground in the real life. In the process she falls in love with a guy when she is sent to New Delhi to pursue MBA. The rest of the story is how Raghuram takes it when Abhi gets her beau to his house.

Plot:

Tamizh (Vijay) is a ruthless, fearless hit man in the Chennai underworld. He climbs the mafia ladder much to the dislike of other members in the gang. But he maintains his principles, namely, never to harm women or children. He falls in love with Shruthi (Asin Thottumkal), an aerobics instructor. But a corrupt police officer L. Govindan also covets Shruthi. Tamizh defends her honour at various points in the film. Although she loves him, Shruti is scared of her lover's violent streak.Meanwhile, Body Soda (Vadivelu) , due to his struggle with flatulence, is a cowardly kung fu master who lives next-door to Shruthi, and is the main source of comic relief of the film. He is trying to win her heart, but has had trouble doing so. He is later threatened by Inspector Govindan to keep an eye out for anyone who flirts with her.After a series of gang wars, the master mind of all crimes, international don Ali Bhai (Prakash Raj) lands up in Chennai from Dubai and appoints Tamizh as the new head of the gang in that region. However, Ali Bhai is soon arrested and also released subsequently when his henchmen kidnap the honest City Police Commissioner’s (Napolean) daughter and exploit her. All this culminates in a rivetting climax where Tamizh is revealed to be none other than IPS officer Sathyamoorthy Shanmugavel, who had infiltrated the mafia undercover to rid the city of all its criminal elements. He becomes a one-man army who takes on Ali Bhai and his entire gang proceeding the murders of his father, retired circle inspector Shanmugavel, and foster brother Saravanan, while rooting out the corrupt elements of the police force.

Story:

Kamalhassan - Crazy Mohan duo combo creates a laugh riot in Vasool Raja MBBS. With the Chennai slum lingo and excellent performance of Kamalhassan the film provides entertainment in large dose.

Kamalhassan is Rajaraman a toughie who ekes his living as a debt collector along with friend Prabhu and Karunas for company. Once a year these guys act as good boys when Kamal’s parents (Nagesh and Rohini Hattangadi) come to visit them. On one such visit Nagesh meets old friend Prakashraj Dean of a medical college. In the college Prakashraj is trying out laugh therapy to cure patients with high BP. When Nagesh proposes a marriage of his son with Sneha the daughter of Prakashraj the truth comes out. To console his father, Kamal and his cronies manipulate the entrance exam and get admission to the same college of Prakashraj. From here starts the fun when Kamal in the new role of a student sees a different view of life. Apart from the fun the film has it’s touching moments too.

The Tamil version of Munnabhai scores in the emotional scenes which an actor like Kamalhassan elevates it to great heights. Sharan deserves a pat for making the film better than the original. Crazy’s dialogues is yet another strong point of the film. The bad patch in the movie is Prabhu who did not have a lengthy role like Arashad Warsi in the original. Yet another disappointment is Sneha who opposite Kamalhassan is ill matched. Prakashraj too is disappointing. Performance wise too she is weak.

Bhardwaj’s two numbers are peppy.

Cinematography especially in the songs shot abroad is visually appealing.

STORY: The movie was totally awesome ... technically .. Its a very different approach followed by the director .. We could definitely say with pride that Gautam has taken Indian cinema to new heights ... ! The story narration was beautiful though it did not have a very strong plot ... Thanks to Hollywood ... Tamil Cinema is reaching new dimensions ... Especially the opening 15 minutes and the scene where the killer talks with Kamal in midst of vendetta .. Just too good ! Kudos to the director .. the real hero ! Though he is not commendable in the plot, as in Kaakha Kaakha, he wanted to prove a point here ... and he does it in style ... Cheers Last but not the least ... The pride of Indian cinema .. Dr Kamal Haasan .... Does a powerful role with so much of ease ... Yet another movie of his to be remembered ..

Now coming to the negatives: Though the director succeeds in a certain way .. he lets you down at certain scenes which are so Indian ... Especially.. When the hero does things out of nowhere and categorizes them as "Raghavan Instincts" .. the scene where the killers escape from the airport .. and the usual coincidence where the killers meets the hero and his girl within minutes he reaches a new city ..

Our heroes which includes Kamal .. For their lack of body maintenance .. (Got to reduce the protruding tummy) Though these are negatives, they just go vanishing because of the style in which things are told ! In a nut shell .. Its a delight to watch this film !
